These Y5 children have begun the challenge a day early! They have launched their History topic which we will continue this term, exploring Pease, Stephenson and Hackworth and their role in the SDR. Today they explored the petition and the children worked in small groups to prepare arguments for/against the railway. They created persuasive speeches and banners to use in the creation of their imovie which they plan to film along the old train line. There’s a buzz in the classroom and the children have stated ‘It’s the best day ever!’ Fantastic, we can’t wait to see what develops as they develop their Museum in The Classroom.
