Sara Calgie set up the studio as a Community Interest Company a few years ago to support schools and the local community to explore creativity and develop their involvement in the arts. What is clear from spending any time with her is that her network of peers in the art world really love the work that she does. Sara is an ex teacher and now runs a range of courses at the studio as well as in-school support. She is the world’s worst at charging people millions of pounds for her quality support and recently was nominated as ‘Best Newcomer’ at the Tees Businesswoman of the Year Awards.
