It was lovely to welcome the Y6 children from Wheatlands Primary today to AV Dawson for another Spark World of Work Day funded by TVCA. We had to adapt the activities to fit within a restricted timescale but that certainly didn’t deter the children. We noted at the end how the children worked effectively as independent groups to achieve to achieve a specific goal, most of the time without any adult intervention or encouragement. Those are the sorts of skills and attitudes that will take these children far in life. As usual we coded with Dash to explore many of the companies across different sectors in our local area and then collated what they had learned into short presentations.
