Find out how to get their job!

In Summary:

Lindsay has a very important job title: she is a Customer Experience Team Manager. This means she is in charge of looking after people who want to go on holiday and the people who own the holiday homes.

What does she do all day? Lindsay works in an office where she leads a team of people. Just like a captain of a sports team, she has to make sure everyone is doing their job properly and hitting their goals (which she calls “targets”).

Her day is very busy and includes:

• Answering questions: She talks on the phone and sends emails to help people with their queries.

• Planning: She sorts out “rotas,” which are timetables to decide when everyone on her team is working.

• Checking tasks: She makes sure all the important jobs for the day are finished.

What is the most important skill to have? To do Lindsay’s job, the most important thing is being organised. Because she has so many different jobs to do, she has to make sure every single one gets done each day.

Did she always know what she wanted to do? No, and that’s okay! When Lindsay left school, she didn’t actually know what job she wanted. She started out working in a shop called a bookmakers, dealing with customers. She kept working hard and learning new things, and eventually, she built her way up to become a manager.

Lindsay loves her work because no two days are the same. It is always different and challenging, which means she never gets bored!
